Luminous is a song written to celebrate the magnificent contributions of
4 women astronomers; their work shaped the way we understand the
Universe. The video is meant to honor and remember these women, and to
share a bit of wonder regarding the beautiful science they discovered.
The women are Henrietta Leavitt Swan, Cecilia Payne Gaposchkin, Vera
Rubin, and Beatrice Tinsley.
A lovely thing happened with this song: Beatrice Tinsley's daughter found it on YouTube, and shared it with all of her grandchildren. She got it touch with me to let me know about it.
